Biography: Professor Jens Scherpe is Chair Professor of Comparative Law at Aalborg University. As the founding director of the Nordic Centre for Comparative and International Family Law, he is an authority in comparative family law with a particular focus on the legal frameworks that govern martial relationships across different jurisdictions. He has written and edited multiple volumes about family law in various cultural contexts, ranging from same-sex marriage, registered partnerships to surrogacy.
